Recycling Cheap Body Boards

In collaboration with others (Land and Sea https://www.facebook.com/landandseacornwall, Keep Britain Tidy, Ocean Recovery, Newquay Clean and local beach owners), we have collected 230 cheap surf boards this summer (so far!). They will go for specialized recycling in Exeter, but we would advocate hiring good boards when learning and buying better ones if you continue with the fun. Ten pound polystyrene ones just break, put plastic in the ocean and often get left on the beach. On a more positive note, we met Richard and gave him 27 of the body boards for him to recycle into long lasting boards. He uses hemp and bio resin to make a board to last a life time.
