Welcome to Newquay Marine Group.
Set up in 2013, Newquay Marine Group is a community run conservation group that works to protect the amazing Cornish coastline from Crantock to Watergate Bay for the future. We are passionate about giving the incredible life that shares our shores a voice.
In the last year we contributed to the data that helped designate Newquay as a Marine Conservation Zone. We are still involved in a variety of projects that survey the coastline and they are accessible to all!
We run a programme of activities and events open to all. From Educational talks, to beach cleans, rockpool rambles, to family events, all the way to training our community on scientific survey methods. Check out our calendar page for upcoming events.
Working with other organisations and businesses to make Newquay, Cornwall and our world better. From raising awareness of global issues such as marine plastics, to solving Newquay’s litter problem, promoting our delicious, sustainable seafood and supporting local businesses to become more environmentally friendly.
