For over 20 years, Cornwall Wildlife Trust Marine Strandings Network teams have developed a unique method to investigate bycatch using photographs of stranded dolphins and porpoises, called BEEP (Bycatch Evidence Evaluation Protocol).
BEEP has been used and improved over the years by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, but it sadly isn’t recognised as a valid scientific method for monitoring strandings. The Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the University of Exeter are working together to scientifically test, develop and publish BEEP as a valuable tool for strandings investigation.
Join us on the 3rd November to learn more about bycatch, this exciting project and how you can get involved.
